From an early age, there was a quiet pull toward stillness — a sense that behind the noise of the world, something deeper was present.
While others moved outward, Mark was drawn inward. Not to escape, but to listen. To observe. To ask without seeking an answer.
What is this life? This mind? This breath?
Over time, the inquiry became a path. A path through movement, through silence, through systems both ancient and modern — and ultimately back to presence itself.
Mark Black’s relationship with the mind began as far back as he can remember.
Before the age of 10, he found himself naturally drawn to the art of reflection.
While others played, he would sit with questions that had no answers—“What is the nature of this reality?”
His curiosity extended into every arena. He explored every sport: football, golf, rugby, tennis, squash, cricket, swimming, sprinting, cycling. He trained in bodybuilding, powerlifting, and martial arts — always seeking something beyond just performance: a sense of wholeness.
Questioning the nature of success, he pursued finance. But it became clear that his true work was not with numbers — but with the mind.
His path has been deeply inspired by great teachers and traditions:
Jiddu Krishnamurti (Choiceless Awareness), Chögyal Namkhai Norbu (Dzogchen), Katsuki Sekida (Zen), Sri Ramana Maharshi (Self-Enquiry), Carl Jung (Western Psychology & Mysticism), and Mantak Chia (Qi Gong).
Zen and Atiyoga, especially Dzogchen, remain his most natural language — the yoga of the mind.
He sees all arts and traditions as branches of the same tree — each pointing back to the same source.
Mark completed a 900-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training at the world’s oldest yoga institute in India: The Yoga Institute.
His focus was on bridging body, mind, and breath — deepening into yoga not as performance, but as internal unification.
He further trained in Yantra Yoga (Tibetan Yoga of Movement) — learning ancient pranayama techniques and how breath regulates consciousness.
Alongside yogic training, he’s studied modern therapeutic systems like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR — learning to meet people where they are, and guide them back to their center.
For Mark, Yoga means Union — the merging of unconscious and conscious.
He teaches from direct experience — offering insight into awareness (rigpa), and guiding others to bring life into balance.
Where there is imbalance, there are side effects — either treated externally or met internally. But true change…
True change begins in awareness.
Not everyone is ready to slow down. Not everyone is meant to walk this path.
But some are. Maybe you’re one of them.
Have you felt that despite doing everything right — something still feels off?
Do you sense that no technique, system, or “mindset” has brought you home to yourself?
Have you succeeded outwardly, yet feel the **inner world** remains unseen, unheld, misunderstood?
Are you seeking clarity, not just coping? Silence, not just solutions?
Do you long to feel your breath again — fully — and live from a deeper center?
Whether you're in Switzerland or anywhere online — this space is for those ready to see through illusion, and step into awareness, fully.
If you’ve made it this far, perhaps you’ve already heard the call.
